Hyperthermia treatment concept

Hyperthermia has been called the fourth weapon against cancer by many European and American’s physicians’ associations. This cancer treatment involves powerful overheating of the tumor, thus destroy the cancer cells. In the local hyperthermia treatment, the tumor tissue is heated extraneously using an electromagnetic field. The healthy tissue remains intact. Local hyperthermia

From research we know that temperature exceeding 40ºC have a cell killing or at least growth retarding effect on malignant tissues.  Here, the temperature generated in the tumor tissue lies between 41°C and 43ºC. An important impact is the decreases ability of the tumor to adjust to the temperature. Overheating leads to increased blood circulation of the healthy tissue which surrounds the tumor while the cancer mass cannot adjust to the increased heat. Thus there cause the sucking effect drawing blood out of the tumor. The less blood circulation inside the tumor cause: 1)Lack of oxygen(hypoxia) 2)Development of a sour cell environment 3)Lack of nutrients.
This leads to cancer cell dead.  It is interesting that hyperthermia enhances the sensitivity of cancer cell to chemo and radio therapy too.

Systemic hyperthermia

This procedure heat up the whole body softly to 38.5-39ºC via water cooled infrared A.  In total relaxation, the patient lies on a translucent net and the entire treatment is comparable to a pleasant sauna bath.
